A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive email messages from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a few features, but it’s really simple to work with, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only one single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have created will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you will only need to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the specific email address. Our system will notify you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as simple and takes yet another click on the very same button.
